For some security reasons, you want to create a password for your computer, however, you don’t know how. Here’s how to change your password for your Windows computer.
For Window 7
Step 1: Select Menu Start> Control Panel
Step 2: Select User Account and Family Safety.
Step 3: Select Change your Windows password.
Step 4: Select Change your password.
Step 5:
Current password: Enter your present password (if you don’t have one please let it blank)
New password: Enter a new password
Confirm new password: Copy the new password and paste here
Then select Change password
Note: Type a password hint – this is a hint in case you forgot your password. You should only enter related hints to the password, if not, let it blank
For Windows 8 and 8.1
Step 1: Move the pointer to the right corner for it to appear the Charm Bar
Step 2:
- Select Setting
- Select Change PC settings.
Step 3: Click Users>Select Change your password
Step 4:
- Enter the present password
- Enter a new password
- Confirm the new password
Once done click Next
For Windows 10
Step 1: Go to Menu start>Select the Install icon
Step 2: Go to Account
Step 3: Select Change in the Password section
Step 4: Enter you present password again> Next
Step 5:
Enter a new password>Confirm it
In the Password Hint, enter a related hint to your new password in case you forgot it.
Note: If you’re afraid of entering the wrong password, click the icon as shown below
Step 6: Select Finish
